There were several instances where Jesus said, “What do you want me to do for you?” (or something similar)
- Luke 22:30-32 – “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded permission to sift you like wheat; 32 but I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail; and you, when once you have turned again, strengthen your brothers.”
That’s an encouraging thought: Our Savior’s never-ending intercession for us — as we follow Him through life.
- Romans 8:34 – Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.
In simpler words, when we pray to the Heavenly Father, Jesus prays along with us. But what about THOSE TIMES when we are not praying? What’s Jesus doing then? He is (Luke 22:32) advocating our cause; He is praying for us to be shielded us from Satan.
