How did God communicate His Word to man? This is a process the Bible describes as inspiration. Inspiration is not the same as the Bible being an inspiring book, which is true; it creates much interest, joy and enthusiasm. But more than that, the Bible is a book inspired BY God. In this lesson we will explore the facts requarding the divine inspiration of the Bible (2 Tim 3:16).

On Memorial Day we will give thanks to God as we reflect on the sacrifices made in times of war to secure and maintain our freedom as a nation. But today let us reflect on the greatest war, a war that secured our freedom from sin and its tragic consequence of separating us from God. That war took place in Heaven, and it did not occur before time began, nor will it occur at the end of time, but this war took place when Jesus died and arose from the grave.

How we view the Bible will determine whether or not we join in the general apostasy of the church. Therefore we must view the Bible as the perfect revelation from the perfect God.

If any man had reasons to be a success it was King Saul; he had many apparent advantages, and yet his life was an utter failure (1 Sam 28, 31). How do we explain this? Saul failed because he lived on substitutes; there are five substitutes that ruined his life.

Most people assume that even though it was NOT a custom of the early church under the direction of the apostles, even though we reading nothing about it in the Scripture, how could the customs surrounding the worship of the Christ child be wrong? Shouldn’t the Lord have something to say on this matter? How does the Lord want us to remember Him?

Did you ever read a command or an instruction in the Bible and wonder if it applied to you? Did you ever wonder if you were doing everything God expects you do? Do you ever feel like you’re leaving something undone? First of all, we can know exactly what God expects from us. His commands are not mysterious or vague. We may have to work at it, but we can understand every command that God has directed specifically TO US (cf. 2 Tim 2:15; 3:15-17; Eph 3:3-4, 8-9).

They are legion who want nothing more than to tear down our confidence in the authority of the Scriptures. But if it can be determined that the Bible is authored by God, then its authority over us will speak for itself - it is, then, the Holy Scriptures. The time has come for Christians to hold fast their confidence in the authority of the Scriptures.

No one, since the apostles of Jesus Christ, has had a revelation from the mind of God. No one actually hears God speaking to him. Therefore, no one has the ability to improve or to add to what God has already said. We must therefore be content to accept His word in the way He has revealed it unto us.

There is not a subject in the Bible that has been ridiculed more often than the Noahic Flood. Noah’s ark has born the brunt of more jokes than any other Biblical icon. The events recorded in Genesis 6-9 are held in great derision by many in our modern times. Before anyone can accept the Biblical account of the Flood, he must accept that there is One Omnipotent God, because there are six areas where supernatural power was required.
