Speaking Truth In Love

A question once raised is relevant today, “What must I do to be saved” (Acts 16:30; cf. Acts 2:38)? The gospel of Jesus Christ, since it is the power of God to salvation (Rom 1:16), must obviously speak to this important question.

The written testimony of eye-witnesses (chosen by God: apostles) declared Jesus to be the Son of God by His resurrection from the dead (Jn 20:31; Acts 10:41; Rom 1:1-4). To believe this fact is so important that if one rejects it he will be separated from God eternally (Jn 3:16; 8:24).

Caring For Widows

Several years ago a lawsuit was filed by the Sisters of Mercy of Providence, R.I., against the estate of one of their deceased members. Marilyn Condon, known for many years as Sister Sean, died of leukemia at 53, six years after being bequeathed a one-quarter share of her families $2 million trust.
